Attorney Genie Hedlund joins DRW’s Rice Lake office
The long awaited day has arrived: we have hired an attorney for the Rice Lake Office! Eugenia (”Genie”) Hedlund began work as the new Office Director on April 28.
Genie relocated from Mankato, Minnesota to Rice Lake to join DRW. She worked in legal services from 1978 to 1988. Since that time Genie has had a solo private practice, which has included some clients with disabilities and a lot of immigration work. She will most likely be our ranking in-house expert on immigration questions. Genie also served as the chair of the Mental Health Advisory Committee of the Minnesota Protection & Advocacy agency.
Genie will be covering a wide variety of legal issues that relate to our Community and Institutions and School and Civil Rights advocacy.
