Recommendations for use of Individual Learning Plans by Students with Disabilities in Wisconsin

Both the Governor’s Council on College and Workforce Readiness and the Legislative Study Committee on Improving Educational Opportunities in High School are considering whether Wisconsin should follow the lead of other states and adopt the use of Individual Learning Plans (ILPs) as a career planning tool for all students. Recently Disability Rights Wisconsin and the Wisconsin Board for People with Developmental Disabilities provided  ILP recommendations to policymakers to ensure that students with disabilities are appropriately considered in the ILP process.
