Remember To Vote on April 4, 2017!

The Spring General Election is just a few days away, Tuesday April 4th. We wanted to share some information about your rights and to remind you to bring a photo ID! Polls are open from 7am to 8pm on April 4th.

If you have any issues voting on Election Day, April 4th, Wisconsin Disability Vote Coalition has a hotline and are at the ready to help. Call 1-844-DIS-VOTE (1-844-347-8683).

PREVIEW YOUR BALLOT. There’s an important statewide election for the State Superintendent of Public Instruction. There are also many important local issues on the ballot and municipal and judicial candidates. Take a look and see what is on your ballot:

CHECK YOUR REGISTRATION. Are you registered to vote? You can find out here!

  • REGISTER TO VOTE AT THE POLLS. If you aren’t registered, you can register at your polling location on Election Day. Bring proof of residence, such as a utility or phone bill, and your photo ID. If you have any problems registering at the polls OR you forgot your photo ID, your poll workers are required to allow you to cast a provisional ballot. They cannot prevent you from voting! DO YOU HAVE TRANSPORTATION TO THE POLLS? Do you have a plan to get to your polling place? Do you have an accessible travel option? If you need a ride to the polls, here are some options:

  • Racine: Racine Interfaith Coalition, 262-635-9532
  • Madison: Union Cab, call 608-242-2000 to get a ride from your home to the polls and back.  The service is available to people in Madison, Monona, Middleton, Fitchburg, Maple Bluff and Shorewood Hills.

CURBSIDE VOTING. For curbside voting, drive up to your polling place and call the number on the sign outside of the polling place, and they will bring a ballot to you. Elections Board information on curbside voting
