National Save Medicaid Day of Action

National SAVE MEDICAID Day of Action

Wednesday, July 12th

The U.S. Senate is continuing to draft legislation to repeal the Affordable Care Act (ACA) and make significant changes to the Medicaid program – including $772 billion in cuts to Medicaid. The Senate would like to vote on their proposal as early as NEXT WEEK – without any public hearings or opportunity for input.

Wednesday is a National Day of Action to #SaveMedicaid – and we need YOU to:

Call your U.S. Senators.

Senator Ron Johnson: • DC office: 202-224-5323 • Oshkosh office: 920-230-7250 • Milwaukee office: 414-276-7282

Senator Tammy Baldwin: • DC office: 202-224-5653 • Madison office: 608-264-5338 • Milwaukee office: 414-297-4451

Ask your Senators to oppose any bill that would cut or cap Medicaid. Medicaid works for Wisconsin.

Here is a National SAVE MEDICAID script if you need help!

Use the power of social media.

On July 12th, we want to see the #SaveMedicaid hashtag on every social media platform. After you’ve called your Senator, print out a “#SaveMedicaid because…” sign, fill it out & take a selfie with it, and share! Make sure to use the #SaveMedicaid hashtag so we can see it and share it as well. You can also tweet it at your Senators to remind them of your story and encourage others to take action.

Please lift your voices every day between now and the Senate vote. The time is NOW to tell our United States Senators what cuts to Medicaid would mean to you, your family, and your community. United, our message cannot be ignored: Nothing about us without us! No caps or cuts to Medicaid!
