The Key to Your Future:

Transition to Employment and Independence

The training will focus on teaching youth with disabilities, ages 14-21, families, educators, and service providers how to develop a good transition plan to obtain employment and independence in the future. We will discuss the required transition planning and the program used by schools to complete this portion of the IEP.  We will provide an in depth look at accessing services with the Division of Vocational Rehabilitation (DVR) to assist with meeting employment goals.  Participants will also learn about the Workforce Innovation Opportunity Act and how it can assist students.
