Strategies

Everyone has the right to be free from domestic violence and sexual assault, and because people with disabilities tend to suffer higher rates of domestic violence and sexual assault, it is important for Disability Rights Wisconsin to do everything in our power to combat it.

Our advocates provide support and advocate fiercely so that survivors with disabilities can access necessary services to obtain safety. Likewise, our attorneys provide legal counsel to people who have experienced domestic violence and sexual assault, and fight for laws that provide greater protections of the rights of people with disabilities.
