Seniors and Aging

elderly woman's hands knittingAt Disability Rights Wisconsin, we believe in every person’s right to self-determination and independence. Our advocacy services are available to both the frail elderly and seniors with disabilities.

Disability Rights Wisconsin promotes self-determination for seniors and the frail elderly through our Family Care and IRIS ombudsman programs, which help to get people out of nursing homes to go back to their own communities where they can live independently while receiving the supports that they need to do so. Nearly all our advocacy services are available to seniors.
