Elizabeth provides information and education on consumer rights, investigates complaints, assists clients in filing complaints, appeals, and administrative hearings. She has considerable insight on elderly benefits, food share, Medicaid, Medicare, Social Security, and SSI.
Elizabeth first became interested in working with marginalized populations in college at UW-Madison when she worked on one of the largest sociological longitudinal studies of its kind. She continued growing her knowledge of public benefits working as an Elderly Benefit Specialist at Legal Action of Wisconsin in the SeniorLAW unit. After a brief stint of teaching special education in Indiana, she became passionate about advocating for individuals with disabilities, and she found her home at Disability Rights Wisconsin. Elizabeth came on board shortly after the FCIOP program was born, and today she remains one of the most veteran team members.
