Amy provides information and education on consumer rights, investigates complaints, assists clients in filing complaints, appeals, and administrative hearings.
Amy has been working with individuals in long term care programs or settings since graduating from UW-Green Bay as an adult learner in Human Development and Psychology. She has a strong understanding of Medicaid eligibility, both financial and functional. Back in 2006 while working in the Social Services department of a nursing home, Amy met with the long-term care ombudsman and was captivated by the mission and advocacy of that position. It became her goal to one day be able to provide that level of support to participants of long-term care programs. For this reason, her first day at Disability Rights Wisconsin felt like coming home.
